Disneyland part 4, the last of the pictures that I have

Mik and I hung out for a bit, rode on a rocket ship ride, it was cute. Got to see the california theme park from up high. She looks so cute here.



When we were done our ride, we headed over to this one, the raft ride. Mom, Dad, Aria and Tony did that one. There were people dressed in rain gear. Too bad thats not gonna work. Everyone got really wet, especially their feet.


Mom and I waited for the 4 to do the screaming california roller coaster. Mom was done riding and we were almost ready to head home when Mik saw that the wait time was like nothing! SCORE! So they did her favourite ride.


This is the one I took where I was watching them all do that same ride. They loved it so much. I loved watching this roller coaster take off and hearing the screams.





This is one of the Baby's presents from us. The others still need pictures and are a little big for it, but when it gets bigger it will have them all. :)


We did the Christmas Parade and Pixar Parade as well as the fireworks on our last night. Fireworks were awesome and really blow the symphony of fire out of the water. But they do them every night and there was Christmas music and it was the night before Christmas so it made it better.

We did quick shopping and took advantage of some of the clearance stuff there. I would defiantly do this again, but not pregnant and maybe with a toddler. That was one thing that kept me smiling throughout the trip, seeing all the little girls with the princess dresses on and the boys with cute hats. If I had the money, I would drop it on a princess dress if baby was a girl. Even the Alice in Wonderland dress was awesome, but I preferred the sleeping beauty or belle ones.

It looks like we shall have to plan another drive down in a few years.

Christmas Day we went to Medieval Times. The Medieval dinner theater thing. It was the only show that day and we got there early.

Once you get there you are assigned a coloured crown which is the colour of your knight and seating section. If you get there early, you get better seats. Well, we got there super early and got awesome front row seats for our knight, the blue knight! We had no utensils and got metal plates and cups and things. It was dark, and there was jousting and a princess and an evil knight.

Its a something you have to do if you are in Anaheim. Tony loved it, he said it was like every little boys dream to go. We got to be all rowdy and eat a lot of meat and things. It was a good Christmas thing to do away from home.

And now that I have had my breakfast and my hair is dry, it is time to work out a bit and then get a coffee from somewhere that has peppermint mochas.

Disneyland part 2

The first day at Disneyland, we got into the park and right away headed over to a hat shop to get our free lanyards and test out the hats. Tony really wanted a macho looking hat and this was the best he got. He also snapped the elastic around his face right before this picture. Perhaps this is also why hes looking not too happy.



I like the peter pan look on Aria, but she didnt buy any hats.


Totally should have gotten pink sequins for my hat, but I also didnt buy a hat or ears the first day.

Wizard!

The first part of the park we hit up was a Bugs Life. Its more for the little kids, but had some awesome things to look at and a ride that we could all get in on. I didnt realize that Disney was all into the details, but they so are. These bug lights were just one of those details, same as all the other things going on.


It was a cute ride, I got to sit in a cookie box with Tony and Aria.



This was lunch one day. Its a giant turkey leg. It cost like 8 dollars, but was awesome in the beginning. After a while, it was getting hard to eat all that meat. Tony and I shared cause its just too big. He noticed that it started tasting more like ham after a while. That turned Aria right off. I swear she could have gagged or thrown up if she ate too much of hers.


We saw little kids eating these, their parents buying each small child (of like 6 years old) their own. Waste!

on the road

Traveling through Oregon and Washington wasn't all that exciting. Its mostly like BC except Oregon is a lot flatter as you go south. Very pretty though.
California had some cool places along the way that we had to stop at. The big Sunmaid factory was one of them. Tony and I bought dried peaches and raisins. Very good road treats, especially after eating fast food. Thankfully we didn't do a ton of fast food. We did some fast food in the first day and that did not go over well in a small van. Carls Jr = not good road food. It was pretty amazing to see the portion differences. Carls Jr also prides themselves on the fact that their burgers are bigger than a Big Mac in their commercials. It was pretty good, but we could barely finish cheeseburgers.


This was out my window driving on the I5. Such pretty hills, kinda reminded me of Alberta, but prettier.


mmm Blue Diamond nuts from the Blue Diamond plant. Honey Roasted was Tony's favorite, and also the smokey ones. My dad loves the smokey ones too, and so it was a must stop thing.

Aria's blog had Tonys interesting experience with a McDonald's employee in Santa Clarita:

Tony asked how many shots of espresso they put in their lattes? The guy asked 'what? what was that you called it?' ... espresso....

He knew they were not Starbucks employees, but it was pretty funny hearing someone not know what espresso was.



The first couple days of traveling were not bad. Hard core driving for the most part with some stops every couple hours. The worst part was driving through LA in the dark in rush hour traffic. It took forever to get to our Hotel in Anaheim and it was hot out. That part was kinda awesome. We would watch the temperature reading in the van go up and up as we went south. In LA at 6 pm ish it got to 20 degrees. Felt like victory after hearing that the valley at home would receive snow.

This was close to LA on the I5. So more later on the Disneyland part of the trip.

its been so long

but I am home now with husband, and awesome internet connection. Don't get me started on the hotel ones that we had to use during the trip (it more affected Tony, but was frustrating none the less).

California/Disneyland/Oregon was awesome, I shall have more stuff about it tomorrow. Tonight is about processing information, trying to de-stress and relax a bit. Traveling in a van with 5 other people can get crazy sometimes.

Baby is good. Kicks/jumps more noticeably than before :) I got 2 very swift kicks last night in bed while watching "the parent trap". Maybe it was to say that I should stop watching girly Disney movies. Maybe baby is a boy, or just hates Lindsey Lohan.
