I've felt so guilty lately that Sadies blanket was going unfinished now that I started her brothers blanket. On Friday, I made it my goal to get the last strip of her blanket crocheted on, and then finish the boarder. So, while Sadie napped, I listened to Harry Potter (and the goblet of fire) on DVD and crocheted away until at last, it was completed.
I'm so happy with the end results. Once she woke up from her nap and saw it laying on the floor, she trotted right over and sat down with the biggest grin on her face. She's always known it was hers. She's played with all the squares since I started making this sucker months and months ago.

So cute! I love how bright it is!
LOVE it!! the bright colors totally suit her. i still have a pink afghan that great grandma klaassen crocheted for me when i was a baby and i'm excited to pass it down to ava. my mom has crocheted each of her grandkids an afghan as well and i just know how much they are loved and will get passed down in the future.
p.s. what is your trick for making the pictures so large on your blog? i click the "large" button when i'm posting a photo, but they all turn out regular size.
Thank you guys! I'm so happy its done, and Sadie is happy too.
Heidi- I resize my photos all to the same width (600 px) then when I put them on the blog, I choose the option for "original size", and that way they are bigger than large, but not too huge.
