wedding pictures...

it is finally finished! I am kinda glad the whole wedding thing is done, Tony is too.
It was lots of fun and stress, but it was great.
I am not the kind of person to have a lot of people always watching me, so it was a little scary at times.

Now, what you have all been waiting for, some formal pictures from our photo shoot. Stephanie's (bridesmaid) boyfriend Dave took these. My Dad took the ones on film, so they are not developed yet.

kurtas

She really should post her india stuff on her blog, but since she hasnt, I shall show you her neat clothes from india.
Some have bits of mould that wont come out ever, but they are still pretty.
Kurtas are what they are.
She had to wear them every day she was out there I think.
I wore her favourite one with the black fat fisherman pants (which were amazingly comfortable).
Mik wore the pretty blue pants one and aria wore the one with mould on it a little.
So pretty.

My blog has been pretty boring with no pictures, so here we go!
Been pretty busy planning the wedding, but I had to show you some new additions to the family.

Davy is the light brown one, davy is short for Davy Jones.
Then we have little Jack (Captain Jack Sparrow) and Elizabeth. Jack is the little black guy.
They are cute. Davy freaks me out a little with his big kickers.

It was my dads birthday today.
Ran out of candles, so he got a very lovely red flower candle on his favorite cake.


You can tell you are getting old when.....oh man. He should probably get glasses soon lol.

Isn't she lovely? ya, dinner will not be the same without them that is for sure.
Aria made me a very awesome sideshow, it made me cry.
I will probably cry when I see it again on Sunday, I am hoping not though.

sooo busy...

so since aria has been home, we have been immersed in wedding details.
so much to do :P ugh...I will be happy the day of and probably glad when its all done.
get to wrap party favors and make little things.
too busy right now though. I will post the picutures when its all said and done.
I am going to go out and go shopping for more stuff now :P

Shes on the Plane!!!

She just emailed to say she was leaving! Shes coming tomorrow! Very EXCITED!!!! We are probably gonna be at the airport a few hours early just in case. Got presents for her today. Me and Mik went shopping at the mall. Mik did well, no whining and she was wonderful. Man that girl can talk me into spending all kinds of money :P I had fun though.

Maybe I should clean my room now that aria is returning. Hmmmmmm I can do that later. I could pack more of my stuff too, but I hate packing. Such a procrastinator I am.

Bah I will never get it done tomorrow, so off to clean I go.

Could it be???? We were told a package from aria would arrive, and we thought it was stuck in customs, but no, it finally came! Aria has to be here first before we can open it :( *sigh* oh well.
Its neat looking, pretty primitive. It was sealed in wax dots all along the seams, and its a cloth like material on the outside.

He he I cant wait to open it! Aria is home on the 5th!

the UPS man came!

Mikaela is gone to camp, so it is just the three of us at home :) Dad went to work, and my mother and I were watching some sort of tv show when the doorbell rang. Thinking it was mikaelas friends wanting her to play, I answered and was suprised! the UPS man was on my doorstep with a package for me! WOOOO the mac stuff is here!
This is what I ordered Jennifer :

3 brushes, and the seedy pearl eyeshadow. I had ordered one more thing, but forgot it, and its coming in a few days I expect :) FUN FUN FUN! *I also added my face primer with sunscreen stuff in it. Got that a little while ago.*

more weekend fun

Mom and Dad took us to Vancouver to check out places to live. We didn't have much luck. Called a bunch of places, left messages, got nothing. Checked out a bachelor suite. I figured it would be small, but I had to see it. It was half my bedroom with a kitchen, and the kitchen is like a converted closet. The bathroom in that place was up the stairs on the next floor. When you walked up the steps, you felt like you might fall through the green fake carpet through the rotted stairs. yay! We shall see what God has in store however and I trust that he will take care of this.

Went to a Mexican food place in Vancouver, it was YUMMY! had a chicken chimmichanga! it was sooo good!

When everyone eats beans on the way home however, makes for an interesting ride back. the windows were rolled down some of the time.

I ordered some really neat mac makeup and am getting it soon! hehehe makes me excited!

the weekend...

Was busy! Did makeup with Jennifer on Friday, learned a ton...and then proceeded to purchase some things from mac online and I cant wait to do it all :) Thank you again Jennifer for hanging out and showing me cool tricks! hehehe. Checked out the newspaper for apartments and was very disappointed in finding nothing that was cheaper or close to where we want to live in Vancouver :P frustrating. Checked the craigslist and responded to ads, however have no response to any emails. More frustrating! ARG!
Hmmm....scanned a ton of pictures to the computer for wedding stuff. Got flowers sorted out, must now get a place to live still, read the rest of harry potter 7 before anyone spoils anymore of it (stupid la senza sales lady). I was up till 2 am reading it because I wanted desperately to finish in a day, and that hasn't happened, but hopefully will tonight.
Up until the wedding will be sooo busy, and I am stressing out, but its ok. things are getting done kinda.

Going to find something entertaining for you all. My last pictures weren't that great.
Oh, and my parents rented "Breach" and it was very interesting if you are into fbi spy movies.

This was when we were making the invitations...I almost got him in the face with a red fingerprint hehe.

The flood that never came...

This is what we did to prepair for the flood that might have hit us. Thankgoodness it didnt, cause the shower exploding poo water was bad enough, and I cant imagine what a whole basement of water would be like :P

So, Mom, Dad, and I moved everything from storage and all the valueable basement items upstairs. The only place to put everything was Aria's room because shes not here :D

The cat loved sitting up high supervising. They went nuts while we moved, they raced around the house and chased eachother. Kiwi was wiped out and fell asleep on my lap right after. Smiff got lost downstairs and cried helplessly until mik found her.

She hates moving.

Mosquito's and more

Bah!!! Silly internet explorer 7 will not load any other windows right now, so I shall just have to wait until later to try and make more comments.

Work was boring, the americans have their holiday, which is not one day but probably going to last until monday. Man, its almost like Christmas for them again but in July.

Soooo what else does July have? The harry potter movie and book! I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!! Also, Family BBQ is coming up, I am excited about that as well, get to see all you long lost cousins again.

Mikaela's bday and Aria's Bday are coming up...what do they want? hmmm....must find something quick, Miks is coming up soon.
The mosquitos are all over the place, I hate them! They greet me in the morning as I leave my house and sing in my ears when I try and sleep. Man, I regret taking down my netting that hung over my bed. I might use that stupid electric zapper and keep it next to my bed at night. I really hate that thing, but it works. Those bugs make a nice sizzling noise whent hey get hit, sometimes they pop.

So, I shall have some pictures to post later on, I dont have any new ones yet :P

sad momma

I was setting the table tonight for indian food and mom noticed that I set the table for 5 instead of 4. She got really sad. She asked why I had to make her sad. She said its depressing eating indian food and looking at an empty plate.
Poor momma.

(I unintentionally had an extra place set when Grandma came over the night before. Dad didnt eat anything cause he had just woken up).

Grandma also visted the land of blog, she even posted a comment on aria's last post.
I helped her, it was cute.

It's so cute. Very different than the other girls in terms of style, but the colours are the same.

The lighting didnt do it much justice, but oh well. She will probably be the one wearing the highest heals that day (I went for comfort rather than style).

Had to hold the back of the dress so it didnt fall down, now all we need to do is take it in a little.

Mik pursuaded me to draw with chalk today.

It didnt dawn on me that it was a morbid thing to do until afterwards. Too late now. I wanted to do more, but it was really hot to make her to a bunch. There was one of me, but its too hard to see in the picture.

Living in the "armpit"of the world...so to speak

One of the many places Calcutta has been called.
Aria should be there pretty soon, or now. Mom and I looked at the weather forcast for them. 40 degrees celcius in the day, and then it "cools" down to 30 degrees or so at night. I cant even imagine the dehidration she would probably get, or the frustration with her not being able to sleep. Poor Aria. Darjeeling shall be better, with 20 degree highs and lows at night at about 7 degrees. Only a week in Calcutta which is good.
Dad is home, maybe we can eat indian food and crank the heat and pretend we are in india (minus the dirty water :P).

Chopsticks

Went out for sushi on thursday. Larissa and I have had it before, but Brittany has never done anything like that before.
Larissa mentioned that some older lady one time went walking around the restruant hollering "wheres my fork?!?" and Brittany was stunned that there were no forks or spoons really to eat with, and all that was provided were chopsticks.
Took Brittany 25 min or so to kind of get how to use them (kindof).
She created an invention so it would be a bit easier, and now I shall let the video explain...

come again some other day. *sigh* I could have cleaned my room, or evicted the spiders from the downstairs bathroom, but no, I sat around and watched tv and played games and did nothing. I guess I needed a day of nothingness to get me back to cleaning and all that.

Theres a half eaten snickers bar beside me and a season of CSI. Now the question is: is it such a good idea to watch an episode of CSI before bed? Maybe I shall try and pick a "tame" one. Ya right. Cant leave the snickers opened and alone for more than a day. In this house, chocolate goes missing if left like that. You have to mark it with your name generally, or my mother will find it.

Not watching M*a*s*h again. The episode where Nick gets burried alive was really good, but creepy. Bah, I think I shall take my chances and watch it.

wanted: an Ark...

Since I mentioned at work that Chilliwack might flood, everyone went into a almost panic.
My friend Larissa is now worried about her new house and couches and has printed off the Emergency Flood Checklist so she wont go unprepaired (it includes goggles, playing cards, and a saw).
Oh man, everyone is in a tizzy!
I live in a basement partially underground, near 2 dikes and a flood wall. Yippee for me! If the weather gets nice all week (like the good ol weather man says) I will be moving my stuff upstairs and everything thing else in the basement! :P
Yay for camping out in the living room!
Maybe the flood wall will hold....maybe the dikes will be fine....maybe I wont have to pay rent if I find myself in a foot of water when I wake up....hmmmm there is a pro to the whole flood thing.
